Dayumm Burger ~~

HEI YO,

Sup everyone... It's been a while I know.. Since I only blog when i feel like it so here I am.. hehe.. =P

Yesterday I went to 1st Avenue Penang, to join a TV Host search for a variety program. Long story short or maybe i'll blog about it on another post, I was on my way back home.

While driving, with the traffic flow as slow as snail and my stomach growling for food, suddenly I thought of DAYUMM BURGER~~

Flashback
Last week only I had one while watching a musical performance in Penang PAC ( Penang Performing Arts Centre) to support my awesome senior Aaron Teoh. After the performance, I join the cast and crew for supper. Woohoo~~

Yes, you've guess it, we went to Dayumm Burger. They are actually a new stall that just started. To support their friend Morgan, apa lagi, we order, we wait, we feast. haha...

*P.S their weekly special for that week, was ladies get RM1 off normal price* Woohoo.. Girl Power~

Present time
I remembered I saw their FB page saying this week's special is PINEAPPLE.. So.. I make my way there.. slowly... (People walking pass my car, cars cutting queue, looked at the Jade Buddha @ P. Times Square etc etc)

30 Mins later, I'M THERE!!! the stall is located along Dato Keramat Road. Next to Dunlop Road. Opposite is Federal Plaza. It's in front of a Kopitiam. (can't remember the name T_T)

FINALLY!! * pops confetti *

Order : 1 Classic Dayumm with Pineapple (mine) , 1 Complete Dayummnation (sis's)

DO YOU SEE HOW AWESOME IT LOOK... *DROOLS...* look at the patty

Okay,  maybe you can see much for a high angle and with the cheese melted nicely blanket over the patty so here a closer look on the size of the DAYUMM..

it's around an inch thick

Review
Classic Dayumm (without pineapple)
Last week i had the same thing but without the pineapple. When I took my first bite, my goodness, it was heaven. I wasn't even hungry that time but i just keep having one bite after another.
At first I thought there were pineapples in it. Why? cause I notice something there's something sweet&sourish about it.. I keep searching if there were pineapples in the burger but strange enough, they weren't any. Every bite had a different taste. Sometimes you had that sweet flavor, sometimes you don't. till when i was about to give up and let it be a mystery i saw something..  IT WAS THE BUN...  how stupid/ blind of me for not checking the bun.. was so focus on what's on the inside i couldn't even see the outside.. LOL... it had RAISINS!!

Horror and Shock I must say. Horror - I don't quite like raisins. Especially not eating it on it's own. Shock - NO WAY!!  I was ENJOYING raisins the whole time??!!!

But yes, it is the raisins bun. Match with Ketchup, OH SO GOOD JUICY PATTY and crunchy veggie.

I'm not gonna comment much on the patty.. all I say is it's made 100% pork and well season.

BECAUSE YOU NEED TO TASTE IT PERSONALLY TO KNOW!!

Quick note
Classic Dayumm with pineapple
Of course with freshly made Dayumm burger right in front of you, it's never going to go wrong. The pineapple and juicy patty are like Best Friends. Hand in hand making each bite HEAVEN~~~

I can't comment on the Complete Dayummation as I didn't eat it. But for my sis, she doesn't like the Raisins on the bun. LOL. But she does love the rest and of course especially the nicely covered cheese on the patty.

Everyone has a different taste.. =D

So after reading such a long ass post.. Maybe you guys should go and GRAB YOURSELF A DAYUMM BURGER.. =D

Here's their FB page - Dayumm Burger

Their price for a Classic Dayumm is RM6. It's worth every cent.

Hope you guys will enjoy them as much as I do.. Can't wait for their next week's special.. =D

Homemade Ice Cream ( Red Bean Flavor)

Hello everyone,

So my dad cook red bean soup (dessert) for the family. Sadly we couldn't manage to finish the whole thing as there is still quite a bit left.

Truthfully it's because the red bean isn't soft to chew.. =P sorry daddy...

Not wanting to be wasteful, I've decided to make it into ICE CREAM... hehe..
Always wanted to try it out since I saw the video from The One Pot Chef around 2 / 3 years back.
Do like his Facebook page and subscribe his youtube for awesome recipes. =D

I'm not a wonderful awesome cook but I try my best using some mini common sense of mine. It is my first time making.. @_@

The Pre-production.

Get a container that is big enough to fill everything later and put into a freezer.

I heat the left over red bean till they are soft and gooey. Use a wooden spoon and keep on steering and breaking the red bean.

After around 15-20mins (on low heat) it's fully soft and quite dry, I took it off the heat and let it cool.

Keep on steering and crushing the red bean till it's very gooey. Warning: it might look disgusting to some of you.. >//<

Once it's gooey / paste form, just leave it to cool down. At the same time you can prepare the other ingredients you need. =D

Tip : steering it will make it cool faster.

The Production

Here's what you need.
2 cups of milk
2 cups of whipping cream
1/2 cup of sugar ( i put less than that cause in the red bean soup that my dad made is already sweet)
vanilla extract ( i didn't put cause i don't have) >//<
1 cup of red bean (paste form)

Next, just put everything in the blender. But try to put liquid stuff in it first as you don't want the red bean to stick to the blade of the blender. So here I put Milk in first.

Then red bean paste

Whipping cream and sugar.

cap it and blend it away...

Blend for around 2 Min's.. During this time I'm a bit deaf as the sound of the blender was so loud.. my dad had to scream to ask me what I was doing.. LOL

2 Min's later.. DONE!
Please note it might leak out a bit while it's blending if your blender isn't bit enough.. mine did.. T_T

The Post-Production

Take out that container you've chilled in the freezer,

Pour every thing into it,

Cap it and put it into the freezer for 6-8 Hours.. Do not open and check it during this time.. just relax and wait...

Tick Tock Tick Tock... omg.. i swear the wait is KILLING ME....

The Screening

Finally.. after 10 hours.. actually it's been longer than that cause it was overnight... haha... =P

OMG.. WHAT HAPPEN?? IT'S AS SOLID AS A BRICK..

Don't worry.. it's a homemade ice cream. We didn't put in any commercial anti-freeze additives.. so it's normal.. Just take it out and wait till it's soften and you can enjoy...

Plus i have an idea.. you can actually pour it in a ice cube tray to freeze it and Whoalla ... ICE CREAM POTONG (cut).. Hahaha... It's a traditional ice cream that i eat since i was young..  it looks like this.. in a rectangular shape.. =D
sometimes people will cut it into smaller pieces to serve and share.. hence the ice cube tray will be perfect for serving size.. XD

Credits to the owner.. ^_^

this is how I serve my home made ice cream.. in a CUP! =D
it's a bit melted cause i left it out to soften too long.. went out for dinner >//<

I hope you enjoy how I make my own version of homemade ice-cream.. Do tell me what you think.. =D till next time.. ^_^

Starting Anew

Hello everyone,

It's been so long since I write a blogpost. It was during 2008 when I create a blog but barely update it. Literary forgot about it. The last post was during 2009; was talking about nearly getting rob and didn't even finish writing it. Haha.. Lots of things have happened. People grow, people die, people just being people.

So I've decided to start fresh, start all over again, start anew. So here we are. My blog. It's nothing much. Maybe just me ranting about something. I'm someone who barely take pictures during my daily life. Mainly because I have a phone that takes blur pictures and also my camera is very heavy and a bit spoiled. BUT, I'll do my best. Will keep this blog alive. Until then, check out one of my old video in 2009.. okay.. my part sort of suck... =P

P.S do comment.. ^_^
